AEROGRYF, a private aviation company, established in 1990, at present is an operator of over 30 air-planes that can be used for air services of different kinds.
One of the main directions of the company's activity is protection of forests against fire and pests. Each year from March till October Aerogryf maintains a couple of forest bases on the territory of north-western Poland. These bases make an integral part of the State Forests fire protection system. The flights are performed by the patrol aircraft, such as Zlin-142 or Cessna-172, and by M18B Dromader air-planes - the best fire-fighting air-planes in their class.
Within the base organisation system there are also rendered services of the forest areas protection against pests with the use of M18B Dromader and AN-2 air-planes, equipped with atomisers or coarse- and middle-size drops appliances. These air-planes can also perform agricultural flights related to sowing, chemical fertilising and spraying against crops diseases.
AN-2 air-planes are used for the purpose of vaccine drops against fox rabies, as well. Twice a year Aerogryf carries out an action of vaccine drops with use of several air-planes of that type.
Aerogryf company performs fire-fighting and agricultural services by M18B Dromader also abroad. During previous years air-planes of that type were sent to the south African market and now they participate with success both in fire protection of forests and in "agro" works on large areas. For a couple of years the company's Dromaders have been taking part in fire-fighting system in Portugal and they have very good opinion in this region. Separate direction is the training activity, carried out by certified Flight Training Organisation and Type Rating Training Organisation. The offer includes theoretical studies, flight simulator training and flight practice on M20 Mewa and Cessna-172 air-planes.
Aerogryf is also independent Technical Maintenance Organisation, certified to carry out maintenance and repairs for the outer customers. The company's base with hangar and technical facilities is located at Goleniów Airport territory.
In the years 1996 - 2001 Aerogryf realized services of air transportation of letters and parcels for the Polish Post. These flights were performed four times a week on three domestic routes, by AN-28 and M28 Skytruck air-planes.
A separate direction of the company's activity was related to the action taken up in order to promote Polish aviation abroad. In the years 1992 - 1996 Aerogryf was leading marketing activity and took part in trade exhibitions, showing Polish aircraft - mainly M18B Dromader and M28 Skytruck - to potential foreign operators. During its activity the company has concluded sale contracts regarding Dromader to Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Argentina and Republic of South Africa.
